The children and staff at St Botolph’s CEP School are seeking to appoint a Facilities Management Apprentice to join our friendly team. We are looking for a cheerful, self-motivated, hardworking and resourceful individual to work alongside our Site Manager to keep our school running smoothly and efficiently.

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Total hours per week: 37.50

Weekly Wage: £150

Possible start date: 03 Jan 2020

Saint George’s Church of England School has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, conscientious, reliable and self-motivated individual to join our premises team to help ensure that our school and learning environment is the best it can be.

You will be responsible for the security, caretaking and general maintenance needs of the site to ensure the school is a safe and secure environment for pupils, teachers and visitors.  You will need excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature towards children of all ages.   Previous experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial, along with relevant technical knowledge and an understanding of Health and Safety issues.

The premises team work on a 3-shift rota including early, core and late shifts, plus Saturdays as required on roster.  The school’s annual open day will be a compulsory Saturday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate of exceptional ability to lead our team of Science Technicians in this over-subscribed and successful Church of England school.

Reporting to the Head of Science you will oversee the general running of the Science Technician areas within the science department, coordinating the use and development of practical resources and facilities.  This will include the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the science curriculum, liaising with all areas of the school and outside organisations.
