Administration Officer – Reception
Kent Range 3 – £17,365-£17,411 per annum (pro rata £8,820-£8,843)
22.2 hours per week (3 days)
Term Time + Development Days (39 weeks)
Required to start in September 2019
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate of exceptional ability to join our administration team in this over-subscribed and successful Church of England high school.
You will act as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the school via the reception area, acting as a help desk responding to all incoming telephone calls and enquiries. You will also provide a wide range of clerical and administrative support, supporting the school office to ensure the smooth running of the school. A strong knowledge of SIMS is essential as you will support with the monitoring of day to day attendance in the Families Officer’s absence. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills to develop a good relationship with students and staff and visitors. Experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage.

A strong knowledge of SIMS is essential for this role as you will be responsible for maintaining record systems and for the completion and submission of forms and statutory returns such as the school census. You will support with the school’s admissions processes and provide a wide range of clerical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the school office. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills to develop a good relationship with students, staff, visitors and stakeholders. Experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage.
